This is the fake message I got on myspace.com:

Subject: Hello!
Hi 🙂 Just so you know, this account doesn’t belong to me…I’m borrowing a friend’s. I’m not to smart about computers, so I haven’t set up my own account. But my friend has been so lucky on here I just had to try it out! Your profile really stood out, so I decided to say hi. If I seem like your kind of girl at all, maybe you could take a chance and email me at kristen_jules552 at yahoo. Another friend said she would show me how to email pics, so I can send some of those along, too…

I’ll be looking forward to hearing from you:)

So I sent the message:

I received a message from you on myspace.com, or so I think. Just checking to see if that’s not a mistake.

And I got the reply:

Hi ! Hey you found me! I was a little worried you
wouldn’t be able to 😛 so, how are you? I am ok.. Im
sneaking a email in at work before my boss comes in,
so sorry if it’s a little short! I promise to write
more later 🙂

Doesn’t that sound odd? No details like “I’m in Portland” or “I like the Trailblazers” or anything. Googling for the username “natkat224” gave me one hit on the fark.com web site where, if you page down, you’ll see an EXACT copy of the email!

So, for those of you who said I should email her, thanks a boatload! 🙂

  5. Sup, people! I got another one of those email trying to pull a scam. The same stretegy, but this time it’s through some online dating website. I don’t know if it’s legit. I got a message from this gal through this website (www.flirtymeetings.com) telling me that she saw my profile on this site. I am not even of member of this site, so I’m wondering how she got a hold of my email address.

    So I went to her site to view her profile and she looks slutty hot! I clicked on one of her picture and VOILA! I am prompted to that Adult Bureau ID crap!

  8. Pretty good pull for the adult verification service. I’m sure she’s making a few dollars on people clicking through on that. I have to congratulate her on a successful email phish. I would guess there could be an increase in junk mail as a result too. Oh well… I report junk mail all the time.

    This isn’t really a scam, just a person being creative in phishing for emails and generating hits for referrals. Hard to report an enterprising person that stays within the guidelines of using services.

  9. I ran into this shit too (TN this time). I feel stupid for replying to her initial message to me. Anyone try playing along with it and emailing her (him?) back with false info? I’d imagine you’d just get the same reply back over and over.

  10. Haha, this bitch is retarded. Its a good plan, but something just doesnt seem quite right when shes got a crappy home made website with an ag verification on it. This one took all of 3 seconds to figure out it was a fake. But I must say, “Gifted” you did a nice job finding the rest of those pics.

  12. i got the same post… i had no clue if it was a scam thing or not so i e-mailed her… the e-mail is really generic, i mean it didn’t answer any of my questions and the questions it left didn’t sound thought out… so i decided to try the AIM. she hasn’t been on and i wanted to get to the bottom of this so finally i decided to search her AIM name on google and i found this… thanks another mistory solved.

  13. i do have one question, who was her “friend” when she messaged people. is it the same person every time or is the message hacking profiles? the reason i asked is cause the profile that i recived it from seemed like a lagitamate profile of someone in my local area. the profile given was named BettyL. to respond to me you can message me in myspace at http://www.myspace.com/scatiger … thanks all.

Yeah I got the same alluring crap…emailed her back just to see if any info comes back but nothing yet. this time they go by the name kristen daniels http://www.honestwebspace.com/kristenswebsite/ with this website. One sure giveaway is when u click on the link on the proposed link to access the pix is there’s no SSL lock that shows up on the bottom right of your browser. well, just thought i’d throw this out there –thanks

  19. Yeah I got this e-mail to just yesterday in fact. The thing that really threw me off was on my main e-mail’s page it said the message was from Jeff Daniels. So I did a quick google search today and here I am. Not proud of it, but admitting that I was scammed oh well I guess life will go on.

    As above the profile on Myspace looked legit – I live in England and the mail said she would be coming over in 2 weeks time!

  27. i got a myspace mail back in november, which i ignored. i was skeptic. got another one this month and thought what the hell i got nothin to lose. the day i pay for anything adult-related on the internet would be a sad day for me.

  29. i was just a little suspicious of this piece of *&(%4 email. my friend and i created the alltime most nerdiest fake profile on myspace. then a day latter some babe comes emailing us telling how much she liked the profile? DOUBTFULL….. i saw through that like a glass door. what a bag of jokes. Then we google natkat224 and the truth was revealed. dont fall for this

  30. yeah that is pretty funny the one that emailed me was alyssa but if you do a dns resolve of the last logged on address to the administration panel for the root site its an organization, dude hilarious getting those cc numbers on an adult buraue for resale? i dont kno who would really fall for it but w/e. and also one person mentioned that they had the people in their home town… well. they can make multiple myspace accounts for all major regions. OR they can encrpypt a script into their myspace blah blah blah so it automatically resolved the address and w/e the end is identifies the city and switches names, if they were gewd with computers and smart but I do not think that this is the case.     apparantly she’s gonna be moving over here in 2 weeks and she hasn’t got anything packed yet !!

  37. Got it yesterday, I was curious so I emailed her and the red flag went up when “she” asked me if I had AIM when I had already asked her if “she” had aim and had left her my s/n. Research lead me to this site, needless to say I empathize with every one of you…

I even try to find out what state she lived in by the picture of her in front of the real state sign with the phone number on it. the I tried to find this college and that is how I found this site. boy I am glad to find this site. and know that she is a fack!Sound like she is a tramp anyways because al she wanted was steady sex anyway.

  39. Heard about this scam from a friend, and low and behold, got the e-mail today . E-mail smelled phishy to begin with, and the site confirmed the thought. Sorry to the mates who fell for it and put their CC’s in. Somebody really oughta shut down the f*cker that made this scam, cuz it’s really pathetic.

    1. im a paranoid guy anyway and
    2. cause a friend pulled somthing similar on me a couple weeks ago as a joke

    i figured i would ride it out anyway cause why not she sounded like she’d put out easy 😛

    what user did u guys get it from? cause for me the myspace profile looks like it was in use at one point in time, maybe the account info got stolen?

    Well, for one, I knew it had to be a scam, it smelled like one because a) no other females post to me on myspace, and b) she seemed TOO eager to talk, was able to post a message on myspace, yet couldn’t make her own site? I think I’ll be saving the pics from the link in the email though, that blonde IS a babe. Curious, I removed the subdirectory, and the domain had NO index at all, just thhat one subdirectory in a file listing page. Whoops! I google and I saw at least 10 hits or so describing this very email exactly. So yeah, it’s still floating around as of Jan 2006.

  44. Yep – got this one a few days ago. Was like a few of the other people on here – thought it was just a legit chatter. And even looking at the website she supplied in a response that she sent AFTER I TOLD HER I WAS MARRIED, I even still thought it was real. One of the pictures depicts a realty sign, with the phone number starting with a 348, which is a common number around where I’m at. Also, the pictures of the Grocery store looks like one around here . . . but of course, did some googling on some of the stuff and found this . . . i feel like a douche. – lol

Check out the water stained fence in the backyard- looks just like the one on a legit nude site kariswets.com (check out more at http://www.extendedgalleries.com/girls/Kari%20Sweets/index.htm ). Kari was already suspicious to me when I saw her on hotornot.com when looking for chicks in my area (Calgary). That backyard, Coldwell Banker number, and grocery store sure as hell ain’t in Calgary! I feel like a douche, too!

I got it a just before new years i also looked up a couple things. one the phone number which in my case is actully a phone number a littel south for coldwell plus my best friends dad works for coldwell. He told me which office it is so i decided to email her back but like the rest of you the email didn’t actuall say much. i google the college and i am lead here i do fell bad for anyone who actually put their cc in that thing.

  49. I received the message a few days ago, I sent a message to the email address given “ante4luck@yahoo.com” to find it was totally bogus. A friend of mine also received the same thing. After I showed him he sent me the link to this Blog space. Further verifying the waste of time these messages are.
