I got one of these two, but with a slight variation. The original message came to me on adultfriendfinder.com – it seems they are now using that to find suckers. The message appeared to be from someone else from my town, and went like this:

It seemed rather verbose for a first contact message. Most people say something to the effect of “hi, I found your profile and thought it was interesting. I thought it was a bit weird that this person would be sooooo interested in me, but I live in a small town where people sometimes get desperate looking for someone. Anyway, I looked at the Web site provided, but I didn’t scroll all the way down to the bottom at first where there was a link to a second page where you had to sign up for an ID at adultbureau.com to see more. I just went right back to my email and replied – but was careful not to divulge anything I wouldn’t put in a public profile anyway. And that’s where it ended – never received a reply. I thought it was odd not to receive a reply from someone so interested in me, so I started to check into it. I went back to the site and found the second page. I was even dumb enough to sign up for an age verification Id at adultbureau.com. It didn’t seem like a bad deal if you want access to loads of adult content – except they didn’t indicate it would cost $39.95/month until AFTER I signed up. I promptly phoned them and asked that the account be cancelled, and they processed the cancellation almost immediately. Of course they wouldn’t refund the first month, though. And the real b*tch of it was the page of the site provided in the email above that you could access with your adultbureau.com id didn’t work.
So I decided to do some checking. I found out that http://www.host6mbspace.com is a fake site. It just has a static image that looks like a web site, but nothing works. I then searched on Google for host6mbspace and found this site.
I’m just glad it only cost me $39.95, and it does actually give me access to a LOT of adult material for a month.
If any of you are signed up with adulfriendfinder.com or any other dating web sites, look out for one of these.

Also, I’ve had very few profile hits, so I wasn’t surprised to see that no one else had checked me out since I was last on MySpace even though ‘Kristen’ had supposedly viewed my profile. I did was a Web search and found your blog, and after see all the messages here confirming the scam, I reported it to the MySpace folks.

Haha well all I have to say is, I hadnt been on any of these so called “Meeting” sites in a few yrs and thought I check them out. I also got this message from one of her Alias, which I in return messaged back on 2 seperate accounts of her “friends”, Installed Yahoo Messenger, Emailed her, and so forth, that was all about 6 hrs ago. Again me being the idiot that I am continued to wait all night/morning while reading web shyt till I accidently right clicked in her message to me her yahoo address,nerd_78900@yahoo, which found only one listing. The second I got this I was horribly suspicious. I knew it was a fake, but I had to take a look at the page. At the bottom of the page I found:
