Unfortunately, it also deleted some blog entries from my blog and, more importantly, my sister’s blog. SuperEggplant gets bazillions of hits all the time.
I was able to find my sister’s last post but I couldn’t get mine, which was my adventure of Tuesday night: Speed Dating. After I went through one round, I was asked to fill in for a no-show on the second round. It was fun to talk to all the women, but I think with a little effort you can talk to anyone for six minutes. And this was supposed to be for ‘professionals’ so I figure they can make the effort. I also know that there are about five single women in Portland who want to go out with an Asian guy, and they’re probably on my list of women I don’t want to go out with:
- Republicans
- Reed College graduates
- or the worst: Stanford graduates
I suppose they could be some sort of mix of the three as well. You might think that some combination might cancel things out, but no.
In the end, I spoke to 20 women and I matched none. I’m no stranger to rejection, though this was fairly minor. It was almost like 20 job interviews. I left feeling OK, but in the end I was no better off than before I started. And I missed “House.” Oh, well. No guts, no glory. So far, just plain no glory.
